Green Fleets Website Launched!

Puget Sound Clean Cities and the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency have launched the website for their joint project on green fleets - www.psgreenfleets.org. Motor vehicle fleets represent many organization's largest and most visible impact on the environment. "Greening" these fleets can reduce greenhouse gases and toxic air pollution, increase energy security and reduce fleet operating costs. The new website provides public and private fleet managers with a step-by-step guide and other tools to green their fleets. There is an interactive calculator to estimate your baseline greenhouse gas emissions and show what would happen to this baseline if you implemented several green fleet strategies. There is also technical information on green fleet strategies and links to additional information. The site and tools will help local governments and businesses balance fiscal responsibility with more sustainable practices.
