Fueling and infrastructure is key to the success of alternative fuels and vehicles. This section provides a variety of information to help you fuel your alternative fuel vehicle.

Detailed information is provided to help you find an alternative fuel station in the Puget Sound area and in other areas of Washington State.

A nationwide fuel station locator is also available through the U.S. Department of Energy. This system allows you to find station locations nationwide through interactive maps, view general nationwide and state-specific station counts, and plan a route for a trip with your alternative fuel vehicle.

In addition, you can link to Infrastructure Development Resources available from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Setting up the proper alternative fuels infrastructure is important to having a successful alternative fuels fleet. There are many things to consider when building alternative fuel infrastructure including; understanding codes and standards, finding the right fueling appliances, learning about proper safety considerations, and training employees. The DOE website provides resources to help you install fueling stations on your fleet site, including information on fueling equipment, standards, safety, training, success stories, fuel providers, and contacts. We strongly recommend that you also contact the Puget Sound Clean Cities Coalition and your local building and fire department prior to
