Biodiesel
is
currently brought to the region on rail car from out of state. The
fuel is stored at two facilities in Tacoma and distributed through
fuel suppliers to public fuel stations, private fleet facilities,
cooperatives and mobile fueling into vehicles.
The
Puget Sound Clean Cities Coalition is working with others in the
state to develop a biodiesel industry, which would include at least
one biodiesel production facility. Washington State provides
tax incentives to encourage the development of in-state
production facilities, distribution services and retail sales
facilities for biodiesel fuel.
Information
on biodiesel producers, suppliers, distributors and retail
operations is provided for informational purposes only and is not an
endorsement of any company nor an assurance of biodiesel quality.
